Great post and much needed. I too struggled with my weight for most of my life and realize now that it was partially because I was treating the weight loss attempts like events. There was always a beginning (typically a Monday) and an end (goal weight). There were more beginnings than ends, of course. Once I decided to change my everyday habits and realize that every day is not the same, in life and diets, I eventually lost the weight and have not gained it back. Now when I get on the scale and see it heading north (+5 pounds over my weight) I start logging my food and amping up my workouts. It brings me back to my daily commitment. Thank you foe a great post and a reminder that obstacles are just opportunities to overcome.
